Apartment rent increase, Valley of the Sun United Way, Health with Latin Flavor
Phoenix rents went up 5.8 percent. Carla Vargas Jasa is the first Latina and the first woman to hold the position of President and CEO of Valley of the Sun United Way. One of their community health programs "Salud con Sabor Latino" or "health with Latin flavor" teaches people how to celebrate food within the Hispanic culture, while showing them a way to eat healthier.
