This week marked two years since the murder of George Floyd at the hands of a Minneapolis Police officer. Floyd’s death re-ignited a movement for civil rights, and calls for police to be held accountable. Since then, several states — including Minnesota where Floyd was killed — and Illinois have passed police reform legislation. And this week, President Joe Biden took executive action.
