Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship(crowd chattering) - I'm Marshall Shore, Arizona's hip historian and a gay man.
I came of age in the HIV AIDS crisis and it was interesting time to be in small rural town in the Midwest and realizing, I need to get out of here.
I don't talk about this much, but I have been chased by people wielding baseball bats just because of who I was.
I've also walked down the street in New York, in Phoenix holding the hand of my other half.
So there's been change, but I think it is not necessarily the same for everyone and so that's why it's so important that people just get out and make their voice heard, get out and go vote.
Just making sure that their voice is a part of society.
