August Wood is a respected traditional baskets and pottery craftsman.
August Wood makes baskets and clay pots out of natural materials he find around rivers and wetlands. With the Southwest drought, finding these materials has become difficult. Woods is determined to preserve these materials and in turn preserve artisan tradition. He discusses his evolution as an artist and the personal significance of his work.
