Bob Menendez and several New Jersey business leaders on Monday urged Congress to approve a bill to encourage semiconductor manufacturing in the U.S. At a press conference at Port Newark, they voiced support for legislation known as the CHIPS Act, which would provide $52 billion in subsidies to companies looking to build domestic chip plants.
