Interview with Mayor Paul Kanitra
The mayor of Point Pleasant Beach is in Poland helping with efforts to assist the nearly 1 million refugees who have fled there from Ukraine. Mayor Paul Kanitra was moved to do so, he said, by his Polish and Slovak heritage and the Ukrainians who come every summer to work on the boardwalk. Kanitra, during a break from volunteering, discussed the refugee assistance efforts.
