COVID-19 cases are surging in NJ and the rapidly spreading omicron variant is rampant. But Gov. Murphy has so far refused to tighten restrictions. Some towns are now issuing their own mandates. South Orange has an indoor mask mandate for everyone, regardless of vaccination status. In Montclair, the township council voted unanimously to reinstate a mask mandate.
