Welcome to a special episode of "Horizonte."
We're taking a closer look at an ongoing challenge affecting Puerto Rico, one that also resonates with many Latinos here in Arizona.
In the wake of devastating hurricanes, like Irma and Maria, Puerto Rico has faced economic instability, energy crises, and food insecurity.
Many people left the island in search of better opportunities, but a growing number are now returning determined to rebuild their homeland through sustainable energy and agriculture.
Through Working Nation's short film, "The Fight for Puerto Rico's Recovery," we explore the strength and efforts that are not just reshaping Puerto Rico's future, but also serving as an inspiration for Latino communities everywhere, including here in Arizona.
