An hour-long clean election's debate and that's next on Arizona horizon.

Good evening and welcome to the special election 2022 edition of Arizona horizon.

Tonight, in a debate sponsored by clean elections, your source for non-partisan election information, we feature a debate for Arizona governor.

This is not a formal debate.

It's an open exchange of ideas and for give and take between candidates for one of the state's most important offices.

Intereruptions are allowed and we'll do our best to see a fair shake happen.

The original agreement was to have one moderator.

Plans were later changed to add a second, but the campaigns were not notified of the change until less than 24 hours ago and we honored the original agreement.

Candidates will give opening statements in an order and closing in the opposite order.

Joining us now for tonight's debate, businessman Scott Neely and Paola Tulliain and former television anchor Kari lake and Karrin Taylor Robson.

Closing statements will go in reverse order and we start with Scott Neely.

>> I'm Scott Neel, they and I entered the race late on January 19th, because I had contractual obligations and busy finishing the contract towers so I could keep this studio running on new technology.

So anyway, I have been in business 17 years and I'm the candidate working on the border wall, in multiple sections and working yourselfI've been working on the border wall for years and when I become the next governor, I will be the guy to finish the wall.

I'm willing to jump in a semi truck and drive the steel to the Washingtonwall to get the wall done and finished.

And now to Paola Tulliain.

>> I'm Paola Tulliain, an immigrant from Italy and my name is Italian and why am I running for governor?

I want to thank you for giving me a seat at the table?

How about that, I finally got a seat at the table.

Why am I running?

Our government and every time I looked at something, the news, I would say, you know, I could fix this and, what are they doing?

Stupidity, inept, or is it planned.

I said, you know what, I want to step in.

I'm a businessperson and we need to run it like a business and enough is enough and that's why I'm running for governor and time people take a look look of who they'll get as their governor.

>> TellHello, Arizona.

Thank you.

I had the blessing to cover this great state for 27 years as a fair journalist.

I walked away from my career and theandthe people of Arizona recruited me for governor and I'm fix some of the issues.

For the 27 years, we've had some of the same issues and they haven't been fixed.

Under President Trump, who I'm so honored has endorsed me, we've had the most secure border.

On day one, President Biden pulls back that policy and exposed us to a criminal element, to dangerous drugs killing our young people, and he's taken away our ability to protect our own state.

When I'm governor, we'll protect our border and secure or border and we're fog to going to make sure our kids are learning a decent curriculum and safe at school.

I ask for your vote and I look forward to the debate.

>> I'm running for governor because Arizona is under attack, from the cartels to the liberals to Joe Biden in Washington, D.C. Arizona is hurrying from inflationhurting frominflation didn't we're tired and we're tired of our children being in dock indoctrinated in our schools.

I've raised my family and I get results.

We need a conservative fighter.

We need a leader with a record of accomplishment, not a career talktalker with a teleprompter.

I worked for Ronald Reagan.

I fault cancel culture and Ile I will fight the second amendment.

We need a serious record with accomplishment.

I am Karrin Taylor Robson and ask for your support.

>> Ted: Kari, wants to succeed a republican governor and I would you improve on the last eight years?

>> I think Doug Ducey has done great thing.

Wethings.Unfortunately, we had a business owner, a CEO of an ice cream company and we expected him to lead like a business owner and, unfortunately, during Covid, he shut our businesses and churches down and our schools down and put masks obvious on our children.

You don't have to be a CEO to know you don't take somebody's livelihood away.

When we needed a strong leader, I didn't see a strong leader in our governor office and, unfortunately, people suffered because of that.

>> Ted: If there's a health pandemic and health officials are saying for now, we need masks and we need to shut things down, you would say?

>> I think everybody was on board 15 days to stop the spread, I was covering it, but we realized this is hurting people and we didn't need those masks.

We did not need to wear masks into the summer.

There's other people on this stage who on board of regents had a way to vote out of those masks.

>> Ted, that's a lie.

>> Ted: Hold on.

>> Arizona board of regents.

>> Ted: Let her finish and we're going right to you.

>> She misses all of the debates and wants to come and interrupt.

>> Ted: Quickly, please.

>> When she has an opportunity to vote, to get our kids out of masks, 115°, our college students had to wear masks and she's a coward and we need somebody who is strong.

>> Ted: You're up.

>> That's a lie.

Unlike Kari lake -- >> You didn't vote.

>> Ted: You have to let her finish.

>> I don't vote on anything I don't read.

I won't.

I'm against mask mandates and Covid vaccine mandates.

>> Why didn't you vote to protect our children?

>> I will not vote on anything -- >> It's obvious you don't want too give them shots.

>> Ted: Do you think the governor handled the epidemic.

>> From an epidemic standpoint, Arizona's economy came roaring back and neas that's why so many are moving here.

We recovered faster than any other state.

>> Ted: And those are issues we'll get to.

We all panicked the first three, four months did what they told us to do and after that, when science came out, we should have had a choice.

MasksMasks on little, children, that's what I disagree with.

Not the kidded in college, they are going in air conditioning.

The little kids are a problem, we're keeping that bacteria in their face and went to an extreme and you know what?

He should have -- how did you say, get rid of the mandate a lot sooner.

Because he was backed up into a corner, that's why.

Because we have health providers that don't want to go to work.

>> He didn't want to go to work.

>> Ted: Scott, get into this, please.

Am I against mask mandates?

>> Ted: How would you improve in the last eight years.

You're a republican, he's a republican.

>> Here is the thing want he did was totally wrong.

He helped Walmart, Lowe's and all of the biggest companies to grow businesses during a pandemic.

Their stoks stocks weapon through went through the roof and absolute list intentional.

They closed my business down and did what I wanted to do and challenged EPA to shut me down and they didn't shut me down didn't you didn't have to listen, people, you didn't have to listen.

>> Ted: You want to be governor of Arizona and you have health experts telling you to do this.

Do you not follow the advice of experts?

>> Of the 14 days to stop the spread, but once we got passed 14 days and realizing used these masks on a job site didn't keep dust out of my mask, how could it keep a virus out of my mask?

>> We knew masks don't work.

>> They won't keep a virus out that's microscopic.

>> The director of our health services.

>> Ted: Other health experts one.

>> He didn't have the backbone to do it.

>> Ted: Do you agree that the current governor didn't is the backbone to do what was best for Arizona?

>> Absolutely.

He had the backbone to do what was good for the big businesses.

>> We're sitting here with being a Monday morning quarterback.

Arizona he's economy has come roarer back from the pandemic.

>> No, no.

>> Everybody looks bright and shining good.

>> I love in a townhome and people have lost their businesses.

They'll never come back and put their life savings into it and we need somebody who knows the importance.

I grow up grew up of the youngest of nine and I understand the value of a dollar and I'm not somebody who throw away money like my opponent.

>> Ted: Hold on.

>> Wait, we all have a history.

We all have had struggles, but how that's why we're running to be governor and we know how to overcome obstacles and we've done it and we have won and we need to win for Arizona.

>> Ted: I'm going to ask a question individually and hopefully we get complete answer.

Do you think voters look on the Ducey years as something that went wrong and what do republican voterrepublican voters want?

>> We talk about transparency and do we ever have it?

We don't know.

We have to let people know what's happening and we have to move things a lot faster in our government?

I don't agree with an 18 billion-dollar budget.

>> That is right.

That was not vetoed.

How do we go from 12 billion to 18 billion during these times?

>> Ted: The governor's office and supporters of the governor and a lot of republicans would say because of growth policies in place because of governor asked legislature.

>> They're spending money like drunken sailors.

>> We're going to hit tough time asked we havetimes and we have a homeless problem and we have to look at the social problems.

>> It was a bipartisan budget and there's a lot in there that people aren't happy about and we got good things.

We got $50 million to secure our schools so our kids don't get shot.

>> We needed that $44 million for the border wall, which I agree with that.

>> We got a billion dollars for roads and bridges and we need that.

Whenever I'm governor, I'll make sure rural Arizona gets that money.

We got 500 million for a border wall and I hope to put you to work building that wall.

We'll start that.

>> I may be putting you to work.

[ Laughter ] >> Ted: This is a republican primary and voting voting in the republican primary, will they want something radically different than in the past.

>> Ted: No, Paula.

For the past eight years.

>> You know what they want?

Doug Ducey was an elitist.

He's a wealthy man, and he has a background and he was installed as the CEO of coldstone, OK?

No offense, but everybody on this stage is an elitist.

We need a middle-class candidate for governor with a street view of what's going on, not from an ivory tower.

You all live in ivory towers, and I don't.

>> Ted: I'm hearing a republican forum not happy with the last eight years of a republican governor and do you agree with that?

>> What Arizona wants is opportunity and that means a low tax, low regulatory environment and when I'm governor, that's what we'll have.

>> We have the lowest flat tax in the nation, courtesy of the house and senate, the lowest flat tax in the nation.

We have a regulatory environment, I would always push against the bureaucratic inertia and when I'm governor, we will, rolling back regulations and getting rid of regulations we don't need.

>> Which ones?

>> Any number.

>> That flat tax is one layer and so many we don't know where they're at, unbelievable.

>> Ted: The response is, you would not be radically different.

Radically different?

No.

>> We'll make Arizona the small business capital of the country.

We have to have low taxes.

>> Because she's OK with small businesses shut down.

>> I am a small business owner.

>> You're husband is a billionaire.

>> Ted: We have to have some semblance of order, please.

>> You're worth millions of dollars.

>> It doesn't matter.

>> Do we want people in office that don't make money?

Are they going to make money for for you?

>> I have built my businesses and I've created jobs and I've gotten results.

That's what I've done.

>> I've done the same.

>> Ted: Scott, I'll absolute youask you notto interrupt you.

Would you be radically different than the previous eight years?

>> I will make sure that Arizona has a pro-business environment so that everybody person in Arizona -- >> Ted: Is that radically different than what we've seen.

>> I believe Arizona wants an opportunity and every single American wants an opportunity to succeed and that means getting government out of the way and that means having a low tax, low regulatory environment so anybody who wants to work hard can succeed.

>> Ted: Panel, we're going to move on and this would be a beauty here.

Kari, we'll start with you.

You've called Joe Biden an illigetimate president.

What does that mean?

>> He lost the election and shouldn't be in the White House.

We had a corrupt election.

I would like to ask everybody on this stage if they would agree we had a corrupt, stolen election, raise your hand.

>> I won't play your stunt.

>> Ted: Hold on.

Instead of raising their hands, I want to know why the election was rigged, stolen our whatever the phrase might be -- >> I looked at the evidence.

>> Ted: You looked at the evidence and the courts haven't found sustainable evidence.

>> We should turn it in.

>> I believe our election was >> There's a reason there's endorsing it and I have the endorsement ofendorsement of all of the America first people.

>> I signed the election integrity at declaration and I'm in support of HB2289 and I don't see anybody in here supporting it.

>> Ted: I want to go back, I want to go back, Kari, the speaker of the house, U.S. attorney general, William Barr, said he would vote for Donald Trump again?

Says the 2000 mule's month shows nothing.

>> Have you seen it?

>> Ted: Doesn't matter if I've seen it.

>> It shows a lot.

>> Ted: The attorney general says there's nothing there and at one point do you think republican voters will say let it go?

>> It's the number one issue and if I can finish, I would appreciate it.

The reason we have a border wide open, Fentanyl killing our young people and people pouring across the border and children being smuggled and children and adults trafficked and sky high inflation and can't afford our gasoline and groceries because with had a rigged, stolen election.

The facts are there and the forensics approves it and 740,000 ballots that did not have a chain of custody cannot be off thents authenticated.

>> Ted: Why can't that be submitted as evidence?

>> They're failing to act?

>> Ted: Why?

>> Because he thinks he can get away wit it.

They watched a corrupt election happen and then they certified a corrupt election and that's the problem.

>> Ted: You would not have certified our election?

>> No.

>> Ted: Karrin?

>> It's like acting on a piece of legislation I have not read.

I was not privy to it.

>> She's a lawyer.

>> I'll tell you why I believe the elections weren't fair.

When you look at what liberal judges did across this country to usher in new rules and new laws in the days and weeks before the election, you look at the media suppressing the news and I don't think to say anything more than Hunter Biden our big tech silencing conservative voices and mark Zuckerburg who spent $470 million in precincts across this country to increase voter turn-out in heavily Democrat precincts, right, including here in Arizona.

All of those those things lead to 71% of Arizona republicans thinking something was wrong with the election.

I am focused on 2022 because the left is ten steps ahead of us and I don't have the time to explain what they're doing, what they know they're doing for 2022.

>> Ted: I heard you say -- I'm >> I'm going to do everything to do everything to be in republican hands.

>> Ted: Unfair is different than rigged, stolen and illigetimate.

>> I'm not going to be in the cul desackcul desaccul-de-sac the left wants us to be.

>> It's obvious Karrin is controlled by consultants.

This election is about are we going to go forward?

We, the people, controlled by our destiny.

(Talking at once).

>> We are beating a dead horse.

We have a lot to do and we have to protect this election and what precautions have we taken to protect this?

>> We haven't taken any.

>> I know there's a lot -- >> Ted: Let her finish, please, Scott.

>> They talk over me and I'm Italian.

That shouldn't happen.

>> I'm Irish.

[ Laughter ] >> You know what?

We should work this year to take precaution on this new election and further.

We haven't and we have volunteers that are going in and why not get high tech people that will be on the machines that are republicans and a Democrat/republican, supervisor, equal amounts.

>> Ted: We have parties.

>> No, no.

>> They're telling people signing up to election watchers, if you believe in election fraud, we don't want you in here.

A lot of people believe in election fraud.

They were down there at the site.

>> Ted: Believing in election fraud is one thing and if they saw it, they should should have reported it.

>> One hundred thousand hours and people saw these ballots and saw the problems and 34,000 ballots were counted two, three and four times.

We had major election fraud.

Two hundred thousand minimum ballots were trafficked by mules.

This is why people -- >> Kari, you're part of the election fraud in the primary election as we speak now and propped up and supported by Kelly ward and the AZ G.O.P and a chair is not supposed to get behind one quoit candidate and she's behind you solely.

The America first-award winning team and you cannot legally as a chair get behind your favorite candidates for office.

Even Rona McDaniels said that.

>> I have not received her endorsement and thank you.

I'm an only America-first candidate.

>> Listen, I have a lot going against Kelly ward because of what she's doing.

>> That's between you and the G.O.P.

>> She acts like she's your campaign manager.

>> Ted: You guys can discuss and last question here, you think republican voters want to go once again over all of these things between mules and the -- >> No, they don't, they don't.

>> No.

>> May I finish.

You know what?

We have to get on with it.

We have a lot of problems coming our way.

Inflation, number one.

The border, we have a lot and we're still stuck on this and we have done nothing about it.

>> Ted: Karrin, I want to move ontoon.

Do voters want to hear more about the 2020 election?

>> They're worried about food on their table didn't gas in their gas tank, the border and safety and security and that's what I hear from voters.

>> Ted: So stop the emphasis on 2020.

Scott, what do you think?

>> How about we talk about solution for our own state going forward?

How about we do that?

>> Ted: Thank you, Scott, I'm asking you a question, do republican voters want to go over 2020 again?

>> I think most people want to move forward.

>> I think most people want election integrity and election honest cityhonesty.

>> What does it mean?

>> We're not having election testimony in this primary as it goes.

>> Going forward with the issues in our state.

>> This is like an S & L skit here.

>> I.

Haven'tI haven't been on a stagewith this many women since I've been to a baby shower.

>> I think baby want election honesty.

>> Ted: Well you accept the election results?

>> We don't have election security.

>> So why keep talking about it?

>> We will work with the legislature to make sure we have rules in place.

>> Ted: That's not an answer to my question.

Scott, will you accept the rultz results to this election?

>> The one we're in now?

>> We'll see what happens, but I personally don't believe -- >> Ted: Do you think republicans voters want a candidate who doesn't even believe in the vote?

>> I don't believe this primary has been fair.

>> Ted: Kari, do you think republican voters who don't believe in the dprit integrity of the election?

>> We'll show up and vote in droves.

We have a movement and our campaign is a movement and we show up in droves and they will have to cheat harder in order to try to win this.

>> Your campaign is a sci-op.

>> Ted: Do you think you'll accept the results of an election if election security is not what you think it should be, if you believe all of these conspiracy theories?

>> I'm not a conspiracy theorist.

I want to see the proof and I want definitive proof and I analyze it and make my own decision and I think that's what we have to tell the people.

We do protect as much as we can preelection and during our election and if we believe there's fraud, it should have been handled in the very beginning.

When he hung up the phone at trump and people are dissatisfied, it should have been handled immediately and it goes on and on and spending millions of dollars.

>> Ted: Karrin, do you trust election systems in Arizona to be secure?

I will and >> I will make sure penalty harvesting is stuff sufficient to prevent it and we clean up the voter roles and uniform requirements to clean up voter roles to we're not sending ballots to dead people or people who have moved.

>> We're voting for 27 days in Arizona and this is ridiculous.

>> Each and every year we have to do what we can to make I easier to vote and harder to cheat.

It's not something we fix and it's done.

We have to be diligent.

>> Ted: Quickly, please.

>> I have people who understand voting integrity and election integrity because when they hear somebody trying to buy this election call our last election unfair, it was more than unfair.

You just have to look at the evidence and some people aren't looking at it.

>> Ted: We are going to move on and Karri, howi, how do we ensure Arizona schools have quality teachers and keep quality teachers and how can we make this known as the estate?

>> We put a lot of money into the education budget and we are I have a teacher near and dear to my heart.

My father taught history and government and he was a football coach.

If you look at our teachers you look at the salary, since 1970, adjust it for inflation before Joe Biden's hyperinflation, they're flat.

They keep using these teachers as political pawn spzs and you keep quality teachers by paying more teachers good money.

They're putting all of the money into add main administrators.

I don't think any administrators should make more than a teacher in the classroom.

If we get our curriculum turned around, teachers will want to teach.

>> Ted: How do we make sure education improves?

Arizona can be known as an estate.

>> We have been an education innovators and when I'm governor, the money follows the kid into the classroom and our legislature took a huge step.

We'll put the money in the classroom and filter up.

>> When she was at ASU, she was pushing for CRT.

(Talking over one another).

>> I had a two twrair battle two year battle to get American history and American government required as general education to graduate.

>> Why did you vote for CRT type?

>> We have American history and American government.

>> It was under the board of regents that Arizona state university became woke.

>> Ted: How do you respond to that?

>> How does she respond.

>> You can go to my -- she is a master at fake news.

27 years in the liberal media and she turned to twist the truth.

>> No.

>> She was just in California fundraising last week.

>> Ted: Scott, hold on.

>> I was a journalist my whole life and that's why the people of Arizona asked me to run for office.

>> Ted: We'll try to keep as per your request, fry to try to get more control over this.

>> Can I be uninterrupted this time?

>> Ted: We'll see.

>> What is the question again?

>> Ted: How do we keep other states from poaching or teachers?

>> My tbrirn have grandchildren have gone to private, Catholic and now they're public and we've experienced it all.

We can afford it, but not every family can and we won't abandon public schools.

What will happen, just like business, competition will create a better business and it's going to create better schools, better education.

Another thing, we have to -- I'm sorry?

>> Ted: Do you think vouchers help?

>> First of all, public schools are going to exist.

How many people can drive their children -- my daughter drives her children 20 miles every morning and every afternoon.

>> Money does not belong to any particular school.

It belongs to the children.

>> That's what I'm saying.

They have a decision and if they want to move their child out of the school.

My son went to a terrible public school.

The teacher was abusive and I went there and pulled him point out.

IfI pulled him out and sent him to private school.

He had confidence.

He excelled and you have a right to take that child and put him where you want.

>> Ted: What about those who can't afford that?

>> I agree.

I don't want to abandon public schools.

I believe we need to help them.

We can't afford that have children that fail in eighth grade and put them in society.

>> Ted: Scot,Scott, education.

>> Here is what most people don't know, in schools, my sons who graduated from Mesa high school, a month eight, I ago, they have five vice principals, a department head for PE, physical education, every department has a department head and four guidance counselors and they're building a three-story office offices.

I can only imagine the school district levels what they're doing with all of the extra vice, you know.

>> That will have to change because they'll realize that won't work for the student.

They'll start losing students.

We need to fire some of these administrators and take that money and apply it to the teacher jobs.

>> An audit has never been done in education and never been done and you know, when I'm governor, God willing I'm there, first thing we'll do an audit in education.

>> We don't need an audit.

I told you what's happening.

>> Numbers are the proof.

>> We need to know the numbers of how many administrators we'll get rid of.

>> Ted: The voucher program was expanded by this legislation and over, some would argue, the will of the public which greatly asked, don't do this, a few years ago.

Was that a wise thing to do and would you sign something like that?

>> I've always abandon advocate of school choice.

We have a system for the adults and not the choice.

When I'm governor, there will be a system for the kids and pay good teachers like we want to see them.

>> Ted: As far as vouchers from a low income family that's going to the expensive schools, even with vouchers, you can't pay for this?

>> There will be many options as it relates to transportation, there are great pilot programs so people can get to the school they want.

>> How do you expand transportation?

We're stealing money from the Herr fund didn't giving more to the administrators and not raising the teacher pay.

>> We need to raise the teacher pay.

>> And stop stealing money from the Herr fund.

>> We need fewer administrate exertionfewer administratorsand shouldn't be making more than teachers.

>> The manager of the school and eliminate a lot of layerings.

>> It's the good old boy club and giving their friends jobs.

>> Ted: I got you.

Paula, what the heck, Arizona, one billion dollars budgeted for water and how do you best spend that?

>> Well, you know, I've been in so many meetings for water, we're all over the place, groundwater, wells, taking water from Missouri, OK, the the midwest, take it from Mississippi, which is garbage and that's all over the mace.

Get everybody at the table.

The money allocated for desaltyization and and what is the cost for desaltizing and how much water can we produce and where is it coming from and we don't have those answer.

OK, we give over one billion dollars to research that.

>> Ted: We're not giving one billion dollars to that.

>> I'm glad we're talking about this, because before I got into the race, nobody wanted to talk about this.

I've been covering Arizona for 27 years and talking about water and no one has taken big, bold moves.

We need every idea from our brackish underground water.

>> You're repeating what I'm saying.

>> Is this a spoof, Ted?

>> Ted: , no,No, it's not.

>> We need to explore every option and look at piping water, Mississippi river basin.

>> That's unrealistic.

>> Ted: Ground pumping from rural areas.

Should that continue unchecked?

>> No.

We have a groundwater situation and we cannot regulate out out ourselves out of the drought or give the ag area the short end and we're going to end up with a food crisis before we have a water crisis.

>> That's already coming.

>> Ted: Scott, you're busting to get in and water policy, one billion dollars, how do you spend it?

>> I don't do what Kari lake has been talking about for months to build this plant in Mexico on the sea of Cortez and pipe clean water into Arizona.

We don't do that.

We take the current plant in 1992 in Yuma, Arizona, the, we can pipe that water in from Mexico, and creating Arizona jobs, not Mexican jobs we can take that briernthatbrine and create micronuclear system.

>> Ted: How much will that cost?

>> Probably in the ballpark, a billion, and probably two billion dollars.

>> Ted: Karrin, the attention is now there and what do we do?

>> I'm the only candidate in this race with 30 years of experience in natural resource management, including water issue.

Every option has to be looked at.

That money is used largely for financing various projects and we have the benefit of technology and we need to try desal and we ahead to eliminate the salt seeders sucking up 55,000-acre feed of water a year and conservation and efficiencies and with technology, we can, but we have a sustaining drought and a growing population and so this will take multiple, multiple solutions and being able to get everybody together, whether it's rural, ag, whether urban, get them together to forge solutions.

It's a complex problem.

As for, I will bring everybody together to figure it out.

>> We all need to do that.

>> We need to bring our Congressmen and senators, on the same page, unless I heard every Democrat and republican and independent drinks water and we need to send them to D.C. with federal cooperation and this is -- we don't want this into crisis mode and we want to solve this problem before it gets there and Arizona is growing.

As these blue states to push policies that are destructive, more people are moving to Arizona and that's not going to change.

>> Ted: How much should water be a part of growth in Arizona, impacting growth and water concerns?

How much of a concern should growth be as far as future growth?

We have to have water and our growth is going to spur the need to really push this quickly.

We don't need to drag our feet on this and push it quickly.

>> Ted: Big developments in buckeye and Benson and should we take a second look paw of because of water concerns?

>> The development we have going, we should continue with.

>> Here is my thing.

>> Ted: Please.

>> We have thousands and thousands of apartments and I want to know, how are they getting this one-hundred year certificate and they keep booming and you're right, the development is exploding.

>> Ted: So keep developments if mind with water policy with our future growth.

They're supposed to.

Karrin.

>> Growth and development needs to pay for imrifl yourself and they largely doing.

Theydo.They have to do that before they can sign a final plat and day water treatment facilities and they need to pay their way.

>> Ted: Is their schematic changing throughout.

We don't have the kind of water we thought they would.

>> Then you can't develop because you can't get a plat approved.

>> Tell me that three thousand apartments in those -- >> Ted: The question is, should that assured water supply, should the equation be changed with the droughts and you're saying yes, OK. >> Are they telling us the truth?

Maybe they don't have the truth.

>> Ted: Kari, we'll start with you, the new law banning abortion in adds abortion after 15 week.

There's a territory law banning all abortion, zippo, over.

Which law do you think should take effect?

>> My opinion is all life matters and precious and I don't believe in abortion.

I think the older law is going to go into effect and that's what I believe will happen.

>> Ted: But you approve of that, at what, conception?

>> I believe life begins at conception.

>> Ted: What about abortion pills?

>> I, too,I don't believe they should be legal.

>> I agree.

>> The voting record doesn't show that.

May I tell them what happen?

>> Ted: Let her finish.

>> She continues to distort the record.

>> It came to the board in February and signed bit governor at the end of the session after changes were made that we raised that could have cost Arizona taxpayers billions of dollars and in that piece of legislation landed on my desk as it did -- >> I would have signed it.

>> She voted to use taxpayer money to hire a lobbiest to go down to the capitol and work to cul one ofkill one of the most important pieces we have.

Senator Nancy Bartow was behind that.

(Talking over one another).

>> She made the liability that we raised and to deal with the contractual liability issue that we raised.

>> And there's a reason she's endorsing me because you intrude to get that piece of legislation killed.

>> She's a master at, you know, fake news.

And you know what -- >> If she understood the process -- >> She's either lying or doesn't understand the process.

Take your pick.

>> Let's talk about solutions rather than fight.

>> Ted: Let's talk.Pair >> I'm glad life won.

life.Life won and thank God.

The way I see life is this.

If we were exploring other planets and solar systems and say on Mars, we found a clump of cells, let's call it, life, right, wouldn't we do whether we're republicans or Democrats or whoever, man or woman, won we dowouldn't we protect that life?

It's new life.

Why can't we treat human life in the same way we treat alien life?

>> Ted: How would you handle mayors from phoenix and Tucson who would not put an emphasis on going after doctors who perform abortions, early abortions prior to 15-week abortions?

>> Well, we can withhold funding to those cities and mayors.

>> Ted: Paula?

>> Well, I'm pro-life, from conception to death and I believe -- >> Ted: No exceptions for rape or incest?

>> That's a gray area and personal decision for a person and I do believe that.

I'm giving you my personal input.

When government gets involved and says, hey, it's a way of birth control.

No, it's not.

It's not a way of birth control.

The problem is, even those people rioting, who are they?

They're angry and all of them have had abortions and they want the government to authorize what they have done.

So that's the problem.

>> Abortion has killed 63 million babies.

>> I know.

>> I don't think anybody is OK with that.

>> Ted: Let's say the territorial ban is approved there is no abortion, it's over, would you push to increase foster care offices?

>> Absolutely.

>> Ted: Other safety net services.

>> Are you asking me or Paula?

>> One of the worst things about abortion and the way it was played out wrongfully, a woman walked into a planned parenthood and one option, the absolute worst option and not told they can be the mother God envisioned them peek being and not told there's help or adoption help.

They're given the worst the option.

When she was 15 years later, when she was 30, she found out she could never conceive and cut her cervix and it's a scar that never goes away.

>> Ted: So you would approve a social safety net?

>> Absolutely.

>> Ted: Paula?

The scar on the girl ace's life when she makes a decision that haunts her for years.

I met for someone 47 years old and she said, this has haunted me all my high and never talk about what it does to a woman.

>> Ted: Would you support state funding for social safety nets and all of these sorts of services that will be needed if abortion is further restricted in Arizona?

>> Safety nets -- >> Ted: All sorts of services?

>> Yes, I do.

>> Ted: Karr rksin, territorial, 15 week ban, if that becomes law?

>> Absolutely.

Abortion is evidence we have failed women.

I will do something similar in Texas, one hundred million dollars to the alternatives to abortion act.

I have always been, always been pro-life, 100%.

And I think that we have to protect and take care of the women as much as we take care of and be concerned -- >> Ted: Ready to spend money on that?

>> Absolutely.

And interesting, Karri lake, who knocked on doors for Barack Obama.

(Talking over one another).

>> And this one has donated tens of thousands of dollars to the liberal candidates.

>> Ted: Hold on, hold on, everyone, please.

She's spending millions of dollars.

You did change your political affiliation, your thoughts and your ideas and why is that a bad thing, Karrin.

She found God, guns and the G.O.P about a day and a half before she decided to run for governor.

Some would say the ability to say is a good thing and some would say it's not such a good thing in a position of leadership.

>> We're in a an amazing spot where people are waking up to the lives of the Democrat party by the droves.

Somebody came into our office and wanted to remembering register to vote as a republican and had been a Democrat her whole life.

If you're waking up to the lies of the Democrat party, we want you in the patient that has party of the ideas that work, the party of common sense.

They crossed over and gave us Donald Trump.

President Trump was a Democrat before as was Ronald ray gone.

Ronald Reagan.

I would rather be with them than Mitt Romney, Liz Cheney caught fromcut fromthe same cloth as Karrin.

The people of Arizona know me for 27 years.

I don't have a problem if you want to go to a show or an in personator and this was an friend and he was funny and he's lying.

He's never been to my home and I don't have an problem as an adult you want to go to a show.

>> Hard-working person doesn't want drag shows in their schools.

That's obvious and that's what it's about.
